Why it pays

One missed fault costs more than years of PV Shield.

On a warehouse roof in Nicosia, about 148 kWp, one string was never connected properly at installation. It produced nothing for 23 months, and nobody knew. Our drone thermography found it 11 days into the contract. The installer reconnected it 23 days in and has agreed to refund about €7,000. PV Shield Plus on that roof is about €2,072 a year.

Questions

What owners ask before they sign.

Do you service solar systems you did not install?

Yes. Most of the systems we take on were installed by someone else. We start with an inspection and a look at the monitoring data, and from there the package runs as normal.

How often do you clean?

PV Shield Home and Plus include one clean a year and Pro includes two. The date is set by measured soiling loss rather than by a calendar, so a dusty spring can move the clean forward. If the data shows that another clean would pay for itself, we tell you before doing anything.

What happens when something breaks?

The alert reaches an engineer, who checks whether it is a fault, soiling or grid curtailment before anyone drives out. Diagnosis is part of every package. Corrective work and parts are agreed with you before they happen, and under PV Shield Pro they run under the written SLA and the published response-time schedule.

How long is the contract?

One year, billed yearly, and it renews unless you tell us otherwise. PV Shield Home is priced per month but billed for the year.

Can I upgrade between tiers?

Yes, at any time. Tell us and we adjust the agreement for the months that remain at the new tier. Moving down takes effect at renewal.

Does the report help with insurance and warranty claims?

Yes. The monthly report records production against irradiance, the alerts raised and what was done about them, plus the inspection and thermography records. That is the paper trail an insurer or a manufacturer asks for when a claim is made. Under PV Shield Pro the monthly PR report is in the form banks and insurers accept.
