Solar PV Operation & Maintenance.

Protect yield, prevent faults, and extend asset life across commercial rooftops, hotels, factories, and utility-scale parks in Cyprus.

>20 MW inspected +2.8% performance gain IEC 62446-2

We maintain systems whether we installed them or not. Inherited and third-party assets are welcome. Most of what we take on, somebody else built.

In short  Renewable Labs provides bank-grade solar PV operations & maintenance across Cyprus: 24/7 monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, drone thermography, and IEC 62446-2 response-time SLAs (1-hour critical remote response). We service systems we didn't install, and we separate soiling, equipment faults, and grid curtailment before recommending an action.

What we cover

Six service lines.

Preventive Maintenance

Scheduled inspections and proactive servicing to stop faults before they impact yield.

Corrective Maintenance

Rapid fault diagnosis and repair to minimise downtime and restore full performance.

Drone Thermography

Aerial thermal imaging to find hot spots, bypass failures, and cell-level anomalies.

Panel Cleaning

Professional cleaning coordination to recover up to 20% yield lost to dust & soiling.

Monitoring & Reporting

24/7 continuous monitoring with structured performance reports and yield tracking.

Visual Inspections

Structured site inspections and forward maintenance planning to sustain peak condition.

Cyprus diagnostics

Is it soiling, a fault, or curtailment?

Underperformance has three very different causes in Cyprus, and the fix for each is different. Chase the wrong one and you waste money while yield keeps bleeding. We separate them before recommending a single action.

Soiling loss

Dust & deposition

Gradual, weather-linked, recoverable by cleaning. We quantify the loss against irradiance so cleaning is scheduled on economics, not habit.

Equipment fault

Strings, inverters, hot spots

Step-changes and thermal signatures that cleaning won't fix. Thermography and string-level data pinpoint the exact component to repair.

Curtailment

Grid-side clipping

Output capped by the operator, not your asset. We flag curtailment windows so lost generation isn't misread as a fault, or as an unnecessary clean.

What's included

Inside an annual O&M agreement.

Every agreement is scoped to the asset, but a standard annual O&M contract covers:

  • 24/7 remote monitoring with engineer-triaged alarms
  • Scheduled preventive maintenance visits (to the bank checklist below)
  • Corrective callouts under a written response-time SLA
  • Annual drone thermography inspection
  • Panel-cleaning coordination, scheduled on soiling economics
  • Monthly performance report: yield, PR and KPI tracking
  • Annual performance review and forward maintenance plan
  • Spare-parts handling and warranty-claim management

Minimums by bank

O&M maintenance checklist.

The minimum maintenance scope required by project-finance banks. Renewable Labs recommends exceeding these minimums for optimal asset performance.

FAQ

Common O&M questions.

Do you service solar systems you didn't install?

Yes. Inherited and third-party systems are welcome. Most of the assets we take on were built by someone else.

How often should commercial solar panels be cleaned in Cyprus?

It depends on how much dust a site is exposed to. We schedule cleaning on economics, measuring the soiling loss against irradiance, rather than a fixed calendar, which in dustier locations can mean several cleans a year.

How do you tell soiling loss from an equipment fault?

Soiling is gradual, weather-linked, and recovers after cleaning; equipment faults show step-changes and thermal signatures that cleaning won't fix. We use drone thermography and string-level data to separate the two before acting.

What does an annual solar O&M contract include?

24/7 remote monitoring with engineer-triaged alarms, scheduled preventive maintenance to the bank checklist, corrective callouts under a written SLA, annual drone thermography, panel-cleaning coordination, monthly performance reports, and an annual performance review.

How fast do you respond when something breaks?

To a written, IEC 62446-2-compliant schedule: a critical (safety) issue gets a 1-hour initial remote response and an 8-hour onsite start; lower priorities scale from there. The full schedule is downloadable on this page.

Which parts of Cyprus do you cover?

Island-wide, from single commercial rooftops to utility-scale solar parks.
